Call for Papers

Submission Guidelines

1. Abstract Submission and Registration

Online abstract submission opens on 24 December 2019 and closes on 21 April 2020.


2. Submission Timeline and Instructions

Call for Paper Opens                     : 24 December 2019

Submission Deadline                    : 21 April 2020

Announcement of Results           : Mid-June 2020

Confirmation by Authors              : 1 July 2020


  • The decision of the Scientific Committee is final. 

  • The abstract must contains original research material.  

  • The abstract must not be published or accepted for publication in a print or online journal and must not be presented at a scientific meeting more than 12 months prior to MSR-SSR 2020.

  • At least one author of the accepted Abstract must pay to participate in the conference.

  • Please note that payment for your registration has to be received by 1 July 2020 for your abstracts to be published in the MSR-SSR 2020 e-programme book.


3. Guidelines on Submission of Abstract

  • Title should not exceed 20 words

  • The abstract body should not exceed 300 words

  • Abstract must be written exclusively in English

  • The presenting author need not be the first author, but must be a listed author

  • Authors’ names should be supplied in the surname-last format.

  • Use only standard abbreviations

  • References are not required for abstract submission

  • Tables and graphs/images will be accepted as PNG or JPG

  • Up to two (2) tables or images can be included in the results section


All the abstracts must be submitted in the following format:

2. Methods

3. Results

4. Conclusion



4. Abstract Topics

Individuals who have conducted research in the field of Rheumatology can submit abstracts under the following topics listed below. Case reports can be submitted.


  • Basic science and genetics related to rheumatic diseases

  • Epidemiology - health care system and pharmacoeconomics

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Imaging techniques and diagnosis

  • Infection-related rheumatic diseases

  • Metabolic bone diseases and crystal-induced diseases

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Paediatric rheumatology

  • Psoriatic arthritis

  • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • Scleroderma, myositis and related syndromes

  • Spondylarthropathies

  • Systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogrens and anti-phospholipid syndrome

  • Systemic vasculitis

  • Miscellaneous rheumatic conditions

  • Rehabilitation for rheumatic diseases
